Chateau Vert is a 501(c)3 non-profit study-abroad trade apprenticeship program dedicated to helping ‘emancipated’ foster children ages 18 – 24 receive the attention, mentoring, education and support they desperately need to successfully transition into adulthood. At the 17th century French chateau, our foster kids are taught back-to-basics life and marketable skills. Our mission and vision is to prepare these vulnerable young adults for better paying, long term jobs and to see them build character with qualities such as confidence, patience, problem-solving abilities, teamwork, discipline and the pursuit of excellence.
Chateau Vert just attended the Feb. 2 "Summer Opportunity Fair" hosted by Westridge School in Pasadena. For Summer '13 we are offering 2 camps for all high-schoolers 14 to 18 and 1 camp for all ages, in the chateau in France. For more details please go to our blog: click here. We hope you can join us. Merci et a bientot!
